Forgotten Lands‘Forgotten Lands’This is my latest imaginary conceptual illustration. It started off with a tiny thumbnail sketch on paper, which I then took into further visual development exploring various colour comps before choosing this design and taking it to a finish. It’s my own character, the wolf and hawk have featured in a previous painting of mine on top of a mountain. Part of a developing story?

Cosmic Wisdom'In England it's Christmas, the homes are ablaze with warmth, sparkling lights, flashing screens and gleaming smiles. But not all are feeling the love, as 1 out of 200 once happy locals have become like outcasts on their own turf, for whatever reason nobody knows, but at the same time many lie shivering propped up against card and sit praying on the streets of Brighton & Hove. Indeed in the streets there are many without, sitting alone in the cold and no hope of a warm brew as if there was a drought. But there really isn't, Starbucks on every corner and a swirling mist of cinnamon trailing the path of every businessman and self-righteous student.Part of the problem lies in the apparent lack of care with all attention diverted elsewhere, as the average stare of the passersby are directed and fixated into their own cybernetic glare. How aware and how prudent are the U.K people whether politician, businessman or the student? But the people of the U.K are certainly not without a heart, when they feel it's safe or appropriate, even the very well off will happily give even to the seemingly world's apart. And it doesn't have to be cash if suspicion arises that the one living on the street is only going to blow it on some corrupt dealers stash, for it all to be over in a brain cell decimating flash. So long as there is respect between the two, how about a smile, some acknowledgement or 'How are you?' And why not give the remainders of that great Xmas roast instead of throwing it in the rubbish as if it was burnt toast?A discounted sandwich for 10 pence from Tescos doesn't hurt anyone's pocket, yet it fills a starving stomach. And who knows, the one you interact with on your own streets might be incredibly wise, who could know cosmic wisdom and might be able to tell you something that will ignite a light in your mind and really open your eyes.So much attention on far away lands, when great problems already lie on far closer sands. So why not shift the attention a little bit more to those forgotten on our own streets, much closer to shore. Maybe then the broken fragments of a revered culture can again become part of something greater, the entire country growing in strength once more.’- Robbie Allen

DaenerysMy most recent digital portrait of character Daenerys played by English actress Emilia Clarke, which I finished a few days before the latest episode 5, season 8.I felt inspired to do her portrait after I heard about her personal story around the time of the first season.
Danielle Portrait I started painting this portrait of Danielle on the Caribbean island of San Andres in Colombia a couple of months ago while I was backpacking through South America. At that time I was staying in a local, Caribbean family run hostel called ‘Big 5 Raizal House’. Whenever I would take out my computer and Wacom to paint Danielle in the reception area of the hostel, some of the local kids would come over, sit and stand right next to me and watch me paint. They would be fascinated and ask me about what I was doing, who the Danielle was, and even help point out mistakes of mine, or where they thought I could improve the painting. That was a nice experience for me in the early stages creating the artwork. I have now just finished the portrait far away from the intense heat of the Caribbean in my home town, Brighton, England.

Séilah This is my portrait painting of Séilah. I was commissioned to paint this portrait of Séilah by her mum as a gift for a family member. Séilah already has a fascinating curiosity for life and all things around her. She is hilarious picking things up and dropping things down in quick succession. She meets a smile with a smile, and pulls the funiest, wide range of facial expressions I’ve ever seen on a toddler. She will no doubt be a joy to be around when she grows up. Colourful, happy, curious and determined (to stand up) is how I would describe her.
Colour & light Concept Art - Puss In BootsThis is my colour & light concept art paint over of the character Puss from Dreamworks’s ‘Puss In Boots’. I painted over from a 3d model render that was provided using a warm and cool light source.

The Magician's Journey He continued to walk deeper into the island on his journey to find the lost item. On the path the magician walks by some large animal footprints, which seem to be going in the same general direction as him.
Rocks of The Snowy PeaksHe had been climbing for hours. After first making his way through the forest, he began his ascent. The air thinned, and hollow blankets of snow fell onto his staff and sword, and drifted slowly to the ground, but at times gathered pace with sudden ferocity, as the wind flew back around the mountain. He knew there was something up there, right above the jagged arches, was it something alive? A wild beast of some kind? Or was it some kind of mysterious object? The environment suggested this was the home of something very large and dangerous. The wisps of snow shooting out into the air indicated something was breathing somewhere in the environment. But he persisted, towards the glow that emanated from behind the rocks of the snowy peaks. ❄️🏔Inspired by my trip to Patagonia.
The Magician's Ascent Onwards and upwards he climbed, ascending up the outer east edge of the snow covered island as the sun rose, along with his two new companions giving him greater sight through flight and guiding him, on route towards finding that special, hidden and forgotten item of legend that he knew he had to acquire. With the inner knowledge that once retrieved, would grant him access to the great records of memories, and re awaken his powers. No other human soul could be seen on this pursuit, this island was once thriving and bustling with life, but something happened long ago, the people who had once lived here seem to have disappeared, leaving no clue that he could see as to where they had gone. But with this item that he sought to obtain, this cloaked traveller would be able to look back and see.The great ancient ocean tree, now entering its early years of petrification, was still alive, just, and was able to perceive and sense this new visitor, climbing up the mountain, and through the force of the morning wind, he lay whispers on the breeze, encouraging him. For the great ocean tree recognised the goodness and strength of his spirit. This is my latest illustration. Any comments, suggestions on how to improve and critique is welcome.

'Awake'I enjoyed taking a more traditional art approach to this portrait painting. I absolutely love painting traditionally in oils, and in watercolour & gouache, and I wanted to bring some of that traditional, alla prima painting feel into this painting. I used two separate references as examples to use, and came up with something uniquely my own.
