He had been climbing for hours. After first making his way through the forest, he began his ascent. The air thinned, and hollow blankets of snow fell onto his staff and sword, and drifted slowly to the ground, but at times gathered pace with sudden ferocity, as the wind flew back around the mountain. He knew there was something up there, right above the jagged arches, was it something alive? A wild beast of some kind?, or some kind of mysterious object? The environment suggested this was the home of something very large and dangerous. The wisps of snow shooting out into the air suggested something was breathing somewhere in the environment. But he persisted, towards the glow that emanated from behind the rocks of the snowy peaks. ❄️🏔
