We arrived by the lake in Bolivia. All you could hear was the distant sound of the birds and for long periods complete silence. But you could see for miles and the colours were vibrant in the sun. The salt water reflected the mountains, and the flamingos flew past in the distance.

This is one of my small, postcard size plein air paintings from my 4 day Uyuni Salt Flat tour in Bolivia.

I only had a short time to make this landscape sketch, but I managed to get enough down before the end of the lunch break. I then touched it up a little back home in Brighton, England.
